I have decided to do my research paper on Altimers/Dementia.I hits very close to home for me and that is the reason why i have decide to do this topic.I feel like i know more about this topic then meets the eye because of personal events in my life.
Well, sorry to hear your personal experience with this difficult disease. However, you should definitely know that the research paper is not going to use personal experience at all. So it might, in fact, be easier to choose something that you have more 'distance' on. If you go ahead with topic #4, you will still need to choose a movie or book depicting your chosen mental condition. How does your film (or book) depict a condition like Alzheimer's? What does it get right or wrong? We will go over some choices in class for papers on film soon. Did you look at our wiki page (available on eng101lagcc.pbworks.com) which has some links to possible films and the mental conditions they portray. Hope this helps as you refine your topic. -Prof. D.
